A Change of View

The recent terrorist plot uncovered by UK authorities has had wide ranging effects on travelers worldwide.

One of the most interesting comments for people in the book trade came from a bookseller at Heathrow Airport. Businesses travel customers, who on not being able to take their laptops as carry-on luggage on flights to or from London, hit the airport's bookstores which translated into a significant rise in book sales.

Popular selling titles included Freakonomics and The World Is Flat.

Whether travelers could take the books on planes or whether they read them during the long waits still made books the activity of choice to fill those travel hours.

Will this change hold when the restrictions are lifted?
